2010 IAC Board Meeting

The 2010 IAC Board Meeting will be held in Amsterdam during 21-22 March 2010, hosted by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW).   The venue for the meeting is the KNAW Building: Het Trippenhuis, Kloveniersburgwal 29, Amsterdam.  

Sunday, 21 March: Convening at 18:00 hrs, a dinner meeting in the Hollandia Room, Radisson Blu Hotel, Rusland 17, Amsterdam (on the ground floor)

Monday,  22 March: Convening at 08.30 hrs, in the Rembrandt Hall, KNAW, with an all day session, followed by a reception and dinner at the KNAW building.   

Tuesday, 23 March: Convening at 09:00 hrs, in the Tinbergen Hall, KNAW, in joint session with the InterAcademy Panel Executive Committee, adjourning around 13:00 hours.

Tuesday, 23 March: Reception and dinner with IAP Executive Committee at the nearby Grand Hotel, Amsterdam.  

MEETING TOPICS

The discussion topics at the 2010 IAC Board Meeting include the following:

• UN  Request for Review of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change 
• An IAC Study on Water Systems and Resources
• An IAC Study on Global Surveillance of Infectious Diseases
• Follow-up to the IAC energy report
• A proposal for an Annual Series of IAC reports on topics of global importance
• IAC cooperation and administrative integration with partner organizations.
