International cooperation and scientific diplomacy are at the centre of the annual conference of the regional Science and Innovation System. What is the contribution of science and education to the strategic partnership between Italy and Africa? Numerous cases and best practices recounted by SiS FVG partners.

The themes of cooperation and scientific diplomacy are of decisive importance today, not least in the light of the recent Strategic Plan for the construction of a new partnership between Italy and African states.

The FVG Scientific and Innovation System, which is made up of bodies and organisations involved by their constitution and nature in worldwide relations and dedicated to the creation of bridges and collaborations between international research realities, has always expressed a disruptive potential in this sense.

The development of collaboration with the countries of the African Union in the fields of Science and Education will be the focus of the annual Conference of the Scientific and Innovation System of Friuli Venezia Giulia - SiS FVG, which will be held in hybrid mode on Wednesday 26 June 2024, from 11 a.m. at the Area Science Park Conference Centre in Padriciano (Conference Hall, entrance building C).

Speeches by representatives of the relevant Ministries and the European Commission will be followed by the recounting of success stories in the field of scientific research, vocational training, higher technological education and technology transfer: a variety of operations that make Friuli Venezia Giulia a frontier of Cooperation and Scientific Diplomacy.
