IAP Webinar: Young Academy Affiliations and Membership Criteria Updates

The IAP is hosting a Webinar on 3 December 2024, during which we will review significant updates to our membership criteria and discuss the introduction of a new affiliation category for young academies. This session is an important opportunity to gain insights into IAP’s evolving framework for academy membership and engagement. Please note participation is limited to representatives of IAP Member Academies, affiliated and Young Academies.

The agenda will address the following key areas:

Revised Membership Criteria for IAP Membership – An overview of the newly proposed criteria for academies seeking IAP membership, emphasizing standards aligned with IAP’s mission to advance science and science-informed policy.

Affiliation of Young Academies – We will discuss the proposal for young academies to be included as “young affiliates” within IAP, a category that distinguishes their engagement roles while providing a pathway for collaboration.

Open Dialogue and Q&A – Member academies are encouraged to engage in an open discussion to provide feedback and explore the implications of these new membership pathways.
