The world’s science academies were invited by the World Economic Forum for the third year running to nominate outstanding young scientists through the IAP network of science academies. Selected young scientists attended the third Young Scientists Conference held in conjunction with the Forum's "Annual Meeting of the New Champions", otherwise known as "Summer Davos"  in Tianjin, China, from 12-16 September 2010. This year's theme was Driving Growth through Sustainability, and the programme focused on how to increase energy efficiency, lower carbon emissions, develop green technology and rebuild basic infrastructure.

The World Economic Forum and IAP facilitated the participation of 55 outstanding young scientists from around the world and the young scientists were well integrated into the Forum's meeting involved 1500+ participants. More information at:
