Protecting Frontline Healthcare Workers from COVID-19

In collaboration with the United States National Academy of Sciences (US NAS), the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences has been working on a project "Protecting Frontline Healthcare Workers: Reinvigorating the Ethiopian Government’s Policy in Response to COVID-19" in relation to the state of WASH (Water Sanitation and Hygiene) and IPC (Infection Prevention and Control) in Primary Health Care facilities in Ethiopia. A Consensus Study Report has been prepared which will be presented in a Webinar of three Science Academies for discussion and sharing best practices among the three countries of East Africa, in the presence of policy makers or their delegates and experts in the environmental health WASH and IPC.
