Strengthening science advice capability of the Mauritius Academy of Science and Technology: focusing on food security

"MAST - ASSAf - GYA - SAYAS - MYAI Webinar 28 May 2024" on Strengthening science advice capability of the Mauritius Academy of Science and Technology: focusing on food security. The objective of the webinar was to introduce the concept of science advice and how to develop science advice systems that respond to specific institutional and socio-cultural contexts. This introductory webinar was aimed at strengthening individual and institutional competencies in this domain. In this endeavour, the Academy was guided and supported by the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf) and the Global Young Academy Science Advice Group (GYA SAWG). In a co-learning approach in national science advice and international cooperation, the Mauritius Young Academy Initiative (MYAI) and the South African Young Academy of Science (SAYAS) also participated with a spotlight on female early-career researchers.
