The 'Award for Young Leaders in Global Health' call for nominations is issued by NIMS University and the WHS Academic Alliance

NIMS University, India, in collaboration with the World Health Summit (WHS) Academic Alliance, announce the 'Award for Young Leaders in Global Health'. This award targets emerging talent in global health and offers an exceptional opportunity for young professionals to participate in the upcoming WHS Regional Meeting, scheduled to be held from 25-27 April 2025 in New Delhi, India.

The World Health Summit Academic Alliance, an international network of academic institutions, including the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP), is committed to advancing global health and equity. As part of its ongoing efforts, five awardees will receive travel grants (economy class) and accommodation for three nights to attend the Regional WHS.

The summit, themed 'Scaling Access to Ensure Health Equity', will gather experts, policymakers and leaders to address critical health challenges and explore topics such as digital health, planetary health, health diplomacy and innovation.

Eligibility and Nominations

WHS Academic Alliance members are encouraged to nominate candidates affiliated with their institutions. Eligible candidates must submit a motivation letter (maximum one page) and a short CV (maximum two pages) that includes details such as education, professional experience, publications with impact factor, total impact factor and H-index.

The nomination deadline is 20 February 2025. Submissions can be sent to sanjay.pattanshetty@nimsuniversity.org and whsrm-india@nimsuniversity.org. All nominations will be reviewed by an evaluation committee comprising experts appointed by NIMS University and approved by the WHS Academic Alliance Executive Committee.
