Call for Participation: 3rd International Conference on Public Health and Environment in Albania

The Academy of Sciences of Albania, a valued member of the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP), in collaboration with George Mason University, USA, is pleased to announce the 3rd International Conference on Public Health and Environment, which will be held from 30 June to 1 July 2025 in Tirana, Albania. As an IAP member, the Academy continues its commitment to fostering global scientific dialogue on critical issues affecting both environmental and public health. IAP’s global community will be represented at the conference, ensuring a diverse exchange of ideas and research findings.

This conference builds on the success of previous editions and provides a vital platform for experts from around the world to explore the connections between environmental quality and public health. The event will cover a broad range of topics, including air, water, and food quality, as well as the challenges posed by environmental pollution and its impact on human health.

Key themes for the conference include:

• Air Quality and Health: Examining the effects of indoor and outdoor air pollution on respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological health.
• Water Quality and Health: Addressing waterborne diseases, water pollution, and emerging contaminants such as microplastics.
• Food Quality and Safety: Discussing the prevention of foodborne illnesses and ensuring food safety through regulation and monitoring.
• Population Health and Policy: Focusing on public health interventions, health impact assessments, and the One Health approach, which recognises the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health.

In addition, the conference features a Call for Abstracts, inviting researchers and practitioners in the fields of Environmental Health and Public Health to submit their work. The deadline for submissions is 15 May 2025, with selected abstracts to be included in an ISBN-registered proceedings book.

The International Urban Health Summit, taking place next week, will also promote the conference’s Call for Abstracts, offering further opportunities to engage with the global community. Many IAP representatives will be present at this summit, helping to extend the reach of this important event.
