The Inter-American Network of Academies of Sciences (IANAS), the IAP regional network for the Americas, has launched a new lecture series under its Women for Science programme. Titled 'Women Who Share their Science', the series brings together women scientists from across the Americas to share their research, personal journeys and reflections on the evolving role of women in science.
The inaugural lecture will be delivered by Dr Ana Belén Elgoyhen, Professor at the University of Buenos Aires and researcher at CONICET. Dr Elgoyhen’s talk, introduced by Dr Cecilia Bouzat, will focus on 'Hearing Health', exploring the biological foundations of hearing disorders related to ageing, noise exposure and genetic predispositions.
