IAP at the World Science Forum 2024: Attend our sessions

The InterAcademy Partnership is playing a key role at the 2024 edition in Budapest

The InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming World Science Forum (WSF), taking place from 20 to 23 November 2024, in Budapest, Hungary. As an essential platform for global dialogue on science policy and international cooperation, the WSF is an unparalleled opportunity for IAP and other members of the global scientific community to discuss matters relating to this year's theme: "The science and policy interface at the time of global transformations".

IAP Highlights at the Forum

This year, IAP will feature prominently, organizing two key sessions and a pre-event workshop in collaboration with the Global Young Academy (GYA). The IAP Co-President Peggy Hamburg will be among the speakers, bringing insights into pressing topics related to science, policymaking and risk.

IAP will host a pre-event workshop on 20 November in partnership with the GYA and the Hungarian Young Academy, designed for 30 early-career researchers (ECRs) from around the world. Supported by the WSF organisers, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, this workshop will focus on 'Trust in Science', equipping the next generation of scientists with essential skills to foster public confidence in scientific research and policymaking.

Attend our sessions:

The World Science Forum 2024 provides IAP with an ideal platform to champion science-driven solutions to global challenges, encourage sustainable development and trust in scientific inquiry.
IAP is represented on the WSF Steering Committee through its Co-president, Masresha Fetene, and on the Organising Committee by Coordinator, Peter McGrath. As one of the core collaborators in the WSF, IAP will also help shape the 2024 WSF Declaration, to be released during the closing ceremony in the Hungarian Parliament building on Saturday 23 November.
