International Urban Health Summit: Travel Grants Available

The International Urban Health Summit will take place from 9 to 11 April 2025 at Herrenhausen Palace in Hanover. International experts, young scientists, political decision-makers, heads of non-governmental organisations as well as interested citizens (initiatives) and schoolchildren will come together there to engage in dialogue. The aim is to jointly discuss how the global network of national science academies can contribute to developing and implementing solutions to the challenges of urban health. Topics such as nutrition, sport, mobility, climate, mental health, architecture, art and culture and many more will be considered.

The Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities and Volkswagen Foundation offer travel grants for early career researchers (PhD students and early Post Docs up to 5 years since PhD) or young professionals working in the field of Urban Health. Applicants can win one of up to 25 grants to take part in the "Urban Health Summit 2025" in Hanover, Germany, from 9 to 11 April 2025. Successful applicants will get the chance to present their research/project in a short presentation. The travel grants include travel expenses to Hanover, visa fees (if applicable), as well as accommodation in Hanover.
