The Israeli National Academy of Science in Medicine is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, under the auspices of the Israeli Medical Association.  The Academy was founded for the purpose of promoting medical research by physician researchers in Israel, in order to improve medical diagnosis and treatment and the health of the individual and of society.

The Academy views the advancement and development of medical research by physician researchers a goal of national and international importance.

The Academy is comprised of the top researchers from among Israel's physicians, and employs their abilities, expertise and experience in advancing medical research in Israel and contributing to clinical and bio-medical research around the world.
