Abdallah Kouzou

Professor Abdallah Kouzou is a collaborator researcher at Texas A&M University at Qatar. He has been the president of the scientific council of the faculty form 2014 to 2016 and the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology from 2015 to 2017. He has participated in several research projects and has led several research projects. Professor Abdallah Kouzou was born in Djelfa, Algeria in 1964. He is the founder of the Power Electronics and Power Quality research group at the Applied Automation and Industrial Diagnostic Laboratory, University of Djelfa in Algeria. He is the supervisor of many PhD Students in Algeria, and more than 20 students have defended their thesis under his supervision. He is a member of the Smart Grid Center at Qatar SGC-Q. He is a member of the editorial boards for several scientific journals and a member of the scientific and steering committees in several national and international conferences. Additionally, he is the Editor-In-Chief of two journals and associate editor and board editorial member in many prestigious journals. He is the Chair of the sub-committee on FACTs and HVDC under the international committee PETC/IEEE-IES. He is currently the IEEE Algeria Section Chair, The IEEE Algeria Section Power Electronics Chair, and the Treasurer of the IEEE Africa Council. He was a plenary and an invited keynote speaker and session chair at several national and international conferences and an expert in several national and international scientific activities and project evaluations. He was a plenary speaker in many international conferences on the topic of Smart Cities, Smart Buildings and Climate Changes and global warming. He is an associate research, visitor professor, and adjunct professor in many universities. He is a national and international expert for the selection and evaluation of projects with many programmes, especially on renewable energies, power quality and climate changes. He participated in many examination national committees of Master, PhD, and Habitation. He is an external examiner in several PhD thesis within many universities in the world. He is the authors of many Chapters in some previous books within his area of research. He is a National Connection Point (NCP) in Algeria for the European Horizon project 2022-2027.
