Achilles C. Emilianides is a Professor, Dean of the School of Law of the University of Nicosia. He has a PhD from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is a Founding Member and President of the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts. He has also been elected as a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. He represents the Cyprus Academy in the ALLEA (All European Academies). He is also the President of the Royal Commonwealth Society Cyprus Branch.
