Biography

Chisale Mabotja Mantwa has been serving as a tertiary hospital medical manager in Gauteng Department of Health  and Public health medicine specialist jointly appointed lecturer with the University of Pretoria since 2021. She gives oversight and is a custodian of clinical governance in ensuring quality healthcare services are provided to all, and very passionate about women, children and maternal health, health management and health systems strengthening. She is responsible for leadership and management of the delivery of good quality clinical services to patients and other stakeholders (hospital board, labour organizations, community, Provincial and National department of health).

She holds a bachelor of medicine and surgery degree from University of Cape Town, and a fellowship with the college of Public Health Medicine South Africa. She also holds a Masters degree in Medicine in the field of Public Health and postgraduate certificate in Travel Medicine all from University of Witwatersrand. Currently enrolled for a postgraduate diploma in Occupational health with University of Witwatersrand.

A mom to two beautiful children, 3 year old boy (Khumo) and 6 year old girl (Rorisang). Lives in Johannesburg, South Africa and loves travelling to explore and appreciate the beauty of the different countries, cultures, languages and rich diversity.
