Fazle Rabbi Chowdhury
Dr. Chowdhury graduated from Khulna Medical College in 2005, later did his Master’s in Tropical & Infectious disease in 2009 from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), UK and completed Fellowship in Medicine in January, 2013 from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeon. Dr. Chowdhury already published 45 research articles in various national and international journals and contributed chapters in three books. He is considered as one of the emerging clinical scientist of this region and received ‘Young Investigator Award- 2013’ by the International Society of Chemotherapy for Infection, UK and 'Mohammad Zakaria Razi Young Scientist Award- 2014' from Iran. He was awarded as Commonwealth Scholar in 2008 by the Commonwealth Commission and received Director General’s Award in 2011 from National Academy for Planning and Development, Bangladesh. He will join to the University of Oxford this year to undertake 'Dphil in Clinical Medicine'. He is the member of the editorial board of number of reputed journals, working as Reviewer of BMJ and acting as the overseas supervisor of LSTM. He is also serving as the Organizing Secretary of Bangladesh Association for the Advancement of Tropical Medicine (BAATM) and Scientific and Publication secretary of Toxicology Society of Bangladesh (TSB). Dr. Chowdhury is a man from Sylhet and blessed by a charming wife (Dr. Nazia Hassan) and a beautiful daughter (Nawal Rabbi Chowdhury). He is currently working as Consultant, Medicine at a primary level hospital of Bangladesh.
