Biography

Dr. Esther Priscilla Biamah Danquah is a highly accomplished professional serving as the Municipal Director of Health Service for the Kpone Katamanso Municipality. With a dedicated team of 430 individuals, she spearheads the design and implementation of policies and projects, ensuring the provision of public health and clinical care for over 430,000 peri-urban residents. Through her exceptional initiatives and interventions, she has significantly improved healthcare services, transforming her facilities into a comprehensive hub.

She is a Fellow in training at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons and holds a Master's in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Ghana and certificates in Leadership and management, epidemiology, and Monitoring and evaluation from the University of Washington. She is a part time lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology at the Department of Community Dentistry as well as a supervisor of students’ projects

Recognized with awards such as the Presidential Honor for Distinguished Service. She played a vital role during the Covid-19 pandemic. She won the Best Municipal Director Of Health Service – Excellence Leadership award in the Greater Accra Regional Health Directorate Level, 2023. She is also a recipient  the 1st Runner up, District Director of Health Service at the National Level – excellence leadership award at the Maiden Ghana Health Service Awards in 2023

She is passionate about empowering women and girls and actively addresses gender-based violence and teenage pregnancy She mentors young individuals and contribute to their development and also drive meaningful change in our society.

Her hobbies are cooking, listening to music and reading. And loves to visit interesting sites with the family
