Jagath Ranasinghe has been serving as a Specialist in Child Health in the Ministry of Health Sri Lanka. He is a clinician with special interest in Breast Feeding, Allery and Asthma, Infectious diseases, BMT. He had a fellowship on paediatric Haematology and Oncology with BMT, Infectious Diseases at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust United kingdon from 2019 to 2021.

He holds MBBS (2009) DCH (2014) MD(Paediatrics_2017), FRSPH (UK). He received many research awards including best paper award in SLCP, National research Council Merrit awards, EM Wijerama award for best paper and Young professional leadership from SLMA.

He has given leadership on local and national programmes as well a collaborator/ coresearcher of multicenter multicountry research studies. Also worked closely with UNICEF and WFP. He likes to admire nature, listen to classical music and take time to spend time with the family.
