Jaime C. Montoya, MD, MSc, PhD is an Academician and is the Chair of the Health Sciences Division of the National Academy of Science and Technology Philippines. He also serves as the Executive Director of the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD), Department of Science and Technology. Dr. Montoya is a prime mover of health innovations in the country. Under his leadership, the PCHRD provided support for many solutions that helped address the problems brought by the pandemic and continues to push for projects that strengthen the Philippines’ health system against future challenges.
