Karell Jo Angelique Calpito

Karell Jo Angelique Calpito is a S&T Fellow at DOST-PCHRD. She provides technical expertise and scientific support in health research, including fostering collaborations, capacity-building activities, drafting health-related policies, and reviewing bills for health and well-being. She is involved in various research on infectious diseases, human security, and biotechnological advancements.
She has completed a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health at the University of the Philippines Manila College of Public Health. She also earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
Born in Baguio City, she is a proud member of the Indigenous People of Cordillera tracing her roots from Bontoc, Bauko and Barlig, all of Mt. Province, and a proud Ilocano as well. She loves stories, cooking, and traveling.
