Dr. Leila Niamir is a Research Scholar and Lead of the Urban Futures Hub at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Austria. As a computational economist, she specializes in energy demand and climate change mitigation, with a focus on cities, the built environment, behavioral and lifestyle changes, and human well-being. She has contributed to multiple Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Assessment Reports and is currently a Lead Author for the IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Cities.
