Lennard has been working at the Unviersity of Oxford since 2020 leading on research programmes with innovations in cancer diagnostics. He has also delivered initiatives safeguarding cancer and immunocompromised patients during the coronavirus pandemic.

Lennard holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford in the genetic alterations in cancer metastasis.

Lennard lives in Oxford. In his free time he does long distant running, triathlons, pottery and drawing.
