Biography

Luis Antonio Diaz Piga is a Clinical Researcher and co-lead several multi-national studies. He is the founder of the OMEGA Observatory in public health policies on gastrointestinal diseases, and the founder of the special interest group in Public Health of the ALEH. He is collaborator of the Global Burden of Disease study and Director of the Chilean Hepatology Association.

Currently, he is a Visiting Scholar at the University of California San Diego, USA. He is specialist on Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He also received his degree of Doctor of Medicine from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

He currently lives in San Diego, California, USA. He values family time and friends. He is an amateur astrophotographer and loves playing the guitar and piano.
