Mohd Syafwan Bin Adnan serves as a Consultant Emergency Physician in Emergency and Trauma Department at Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Center @ IIUM. He is also the first Head of Emergency Medicine Department and an Assistant Professor at IIUM Additionally, he is the Director of the Southeast Asia Chapter for the World Association of Disaster and Emergency Medicine (WADEM).

He obtained his MBBS from University Malaya in 2008, followed by a Master in Emergency Medicine from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2018. In 2022, he further specialized with a Fellowship in Disaster Medicine and training in Administrative and Leadership in Emergency Medicine, both from Harvard.

He lives in Kuantan, Pahang. He balances his medical career with two engaging hobbies. Photography allows him to capture moments and express creativity, while diving offers an adventurous escape into the underwater world.
