Olayinka Olusola Omigbodun
Professor of Psychiatry
Olayinka Olusola Omigbodun is Professor of Psychiatry and Pioneer Director of the University of Ibadan’s Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CCAMH), a multidisciplinary centre for training, research, advocacy and service in Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH). Since training commenced in 2013, over 135 professionals from 14 countries in sub-Saharan Africa have completed an 18-month Master of Science degree programme at CCAMH. Olayinka is also an Honorary Consultant in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Nigeria and served as Pioneer Head of Department from 2009-2016. She set to assume duty as Provost of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan on August 1, 2020 for a four-year tenure. Olayinka is a Past President of the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (IACAPAP). She is a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Science and a Foundation Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Medicine. She presently leads several research projects aimed at improving access to CAMH services and ensuring policy development that will improve the well being of children and adolescents.
