Seyma Yusra Soganda
Medical Doctor, Ministry of Health, Türkiye / Public Health PhD Student at Istanbul University
Dr. Seyma Yusra Soganda has been serving as a Public Health Officer at the General Directorate of Health Promotion under Turkiye’s Ministry of Health since June 2021. She is actively involved in overseeing various health literacy initiatives and communication strategies, particularly focusing on the integration of artificial intelligence in public health, reproductive health, migrant health, and tobacco control. Dr. Soganda also plays a crucial role in managing the Ministry's social media accounts and is a medical advisor to the Minister's press team. She has extensive experience in the field of public health, health promotion, and the management of large-scale public health campaigns.
Dr. Soganda holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Gazi University, where she studied from 2013 to 2019. Between 2017 and 2019, she completed internships as a Visiting Medical Student at Harvard University and Boston University. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Public Health at Istanbul University, which she began in 2019 and is expected to complete by 2025.
Originally from Van, Turkiye, Dr. Soganda lives in Ankara. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new museums and cafes, attending concerts, engaging in sports activities, and creating personal social media content. She loves spending time with her family, friends, and her cats.
