Biography

Dr. Somaya Albhaisi is an aspiring Hepatology Physician-Scientist-Entrepreneur with passion for innovation and global health. She is a fellow in the Division of Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at the USC Keck School of Medicine, studying the epidemiology, prevention, and treatment of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease and cirrhosis and its complications.

She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and is also a Certified Internal Medicine Physician. She received her degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBCh) from Dubai Medical College.

She lives in Los Angeles, California. In her free time, she likes to write in her journal and watch educational videos. She is fond of exploring nature and visiting historical places and local markets. She likes to learn languages and loves spending time with family and friends.
