For the past five years, Yoel Angel has served in the Physician Affairs department at Ichilov, one of Israel's largest hospitals. He is currently leading the establishment of a new Department of Medical Education. Additionally, he serves as a consultant to the Israeli Ministry of Health on health workforce planning.

A specialist in Internal Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine and Medical Administration, Dr. Angel  holds an MBA from the Tel Aviv University, where  he currently teaches courses on healthcare systems in Israel and abroad. He leads several research projects in the field of health policy.

He lives in Tel Aviv, the city with the 3rd highest number of dogs-per-person in the world! Enjoys hiking, paddling and a good cup of coffee. Continues to practice  medicine in the Intensive Care Unit every week.
