Professor Boli Zhang is currently a member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, President of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, and President of the Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is the academic leader of a national key discipline — Internal medicine of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). He is the Vice President of Chinese Medical Association and Vice President of the China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is the chairman of Education Committee of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies and chairman of the TCM Education Steering Committee of Ministry of Education. He is also the editor in chief and the editorial board member of more than 20 kinds of periodicals. Prof. Zhang has undertaken more than 40 national level research projects, won seven national science and technology awards, more than 20 prizes of provincial and ministerial scientific and technological awards. He has published more than 200 papers and 20 monographs. He has supervised more than 160 post-doctoral, doctoral and master students.
