Associate Professor Artiwan Shotipruk graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor degree in 1995 and completed her graduate studies in chemical engineering at The University of Michigan, USA, in 2001. Currently, she holds teaching and research position at the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. Her research interest is in extraction and purification of natural compounds, particularly applying sub and supercritical fluids technology. Recently, she received the Young Scientist Award, from the Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Technology under Patronage of His Majesty the King in 2008, the “For Women in Science” Fellowship, from UNESCO-LOREAL and TRF-CHE-Scopus Young Researcher Award in Engineering and Multidisciplinary Technology in 2010.
