Director, Separations Division, American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Secretary/Treasurer, International Adsorption Society. Meeting Chairman, German-American Frontiers of Science, US National Academies and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Author of articles. Expertise: design, synthesis, and characterization of functional porous materials for use in CO2 capture, air purification, energy storage, and catalysis. Recipient of honours and awards.
