Overview

The IAP General Assembly agreed to establish a Biosecurity Working Group in 2003, designed especially to link with the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (BWC). Activities include the promotion of responsible research practices and links with the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). Currently, membership of the Biosecurity Working Group includes Australia, China, Cuba, Egypt, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
